PURPOSE

To ensure effective working relationships with partners in the quest to provide quality services to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.

POLICY

According to FS 413.74(2), every public agency shall cooperate with the Division to ensure that rehabilitation services are available.  Cooperation and communication between agencies is essential to ensure that all necessary services are provided and to prevent the duplication of services.

The Division of Blind Services will utilize community resources whenever possible when providing services to consumers. Guidelines established in cooperative agreements and contracts with agencies and entities are to be upheld.
