Time Frames for developing amended plans

This policy will be reviewed and updated as needed.

PURPOSE

Provide district offices with guidelines relative to appropriate time frames for developing plans promptly to ensure timely delivery of service(s).

POLICY

All amended plans will be developed no later than 5 working days after a new request for services has been received in writing.  The amendment justification must be completed by the VR Counselor and placed in AWARE prior to the plan being amended.  The justification should indicate the new service(s) being requested and how these services will benefit the client in their vocational goal.  The amended plan must be signed by client and counselor prior to services being provided.

Notification will be provided in writing (email, correspondence) to the vendor within those 5 working days, as to whether or not the service(s) are being approved.  If the requested service is not approved, the reason(s) the request(s) are being decline will be explained to the vendor.
