The Florida Rehabilitation Council for the Blind (FRCB) works in partnership with the Florida Division of Blind Services (DBS) as a statutorily required advisory agency to review, analyze, and advise on policy decisions, as well as evaluate the division’s effectiveness in ensuring meaningful access to vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs for Floridians who are blind or visually impaired. The group meets four times a year and provides this Public Forum to receive input from blind persons and their families on services received by DBS.
The Council encourages public input on DBS services in order to ensure client needs are being met and make any improvements to enhance the client experience. If you receive services from DBS, this means YOU!
When Public Forum attendance is high, comment time may be limited in order to allow everyone the opportunity to speak. Please avoid disclosing private information. If you have no comment to share, you are still welcome to join in on the call.
DBS Director Robert Doyle may provide a brief update on services as time allows.
