Expand Your World
Kindness Bingo
(Early Literacy, Elementary)
Play a game of kindness BINGO! This is an ongoing game where children do the actions when around others in their playgroup, or family members.
- High five a friend.
- Give yourself a pat on the back.
- Share something.
- Ask someone if they need help.
- Say "please" or "thank you" to someone.
- Give a family member a hug.
- Tell your friend or family member something you like about them.
- Do a chore for someone without them knowing.
- Help prepare a meal, even by setting the table, or cleaning vegetables.
Friendship Starters
(Elementary, Middle Grades)
Asking interesting questions can spark great conversations. Share your answers with a friend and listen to their answers too!
- What is your strange talent?
- If you could spend the day with anyone, famous or not, who would it be and why?
- Would you rather go camping or stay in a very fancy hotel? Why?
- What has been your favorite day ever?
- What is something surprising that people may not know about you?
- If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
Kindness Bingo
(Teens, Adults)
- Do a chore at home that isn’t normally your responsibility.
- Ask someone older than you to tell you a story about your life.
- Tell a friend something you like or appreciate about them.
- Ask at least two people how they are doing, and really listen to their replies.
- Give someone a thank you note for being amazing.
- Volunteering at a local organization which is important to you.
- Leave your mail carrier a thank you note.
- Spend an hour learning about a culture different from your own.
- Share your favorite hobby with a friend or family member.
- Make a list of five things you like about yourself.
- Recommend a book to a friend.
- Write a letter to a friend or family member.
- Take ten deep breaths: Breathe in to a count of 4 and out to a count of 6.
- Donate things you no longer use to a local organization.
- Make someone a gift.
- Do a chore for someone without them knowing.
